Browns Panorama Surrey

The Importance of Meeting Franchise and Inspector Building Requirements

Challenge

This beautiful restaurant (owned by TYTO co-owner, Todd) was created from a brand-new empty space with only a concrete floor and presented a few specific challenges for the TYTO team. Todd, Tyler and their team had to balance their vision for an outstanding restaurant with the Browns franchise and brand requirements, stringent structural inspection requests, and difficult spacial requirements, all while maintaining the project budget.

Solution

The TYTO team worked diligently to abide by the franchisee requirements yet were able to minimize their budget by sourcing distributors locally. Working through their detailed quality control process, the TYTO team was able to detect and rectify building inaccuracies and avoid potential financial impact. The team worked closely with the franchisor and came up with on the spot solutions to keep the project moving forward and on time. Understanding the various restaurant construction inspectors (city, fire, liquor, health) have their own preferences, the TYTO team worked alongside them during the entire construction process to ensure they met all their requirements.

Result

The TYTO team established a professional and respectful relationship with the inspectors all while maximizing the potential for table seating revenue.
Accurate items were redesigned and ordered prior to the construction build, thus eliminating financial impact and meeting the project timelines. Even with the project challenges, the construction timeline and budget were met, resulting in a quality restaurant with effective operational flow producing full seating at lunch, dinner and late-night dining.

We value our relationship with TYTO Construction because of the level of professionalism & care that goes into their projects. They have a high standard of quality that brings the best out of all their sub-trades.
